Stunning views and cozy vibes
My stay was super chill. Had this amazing double room with fab views over the South Downs. The terrace was perfect for sipping wine at sunset. Dinner was pretty tasty, but they ran out of some good stuff by 8pm. Oh, and the generator noise was a bit annoying at night.

would happily return
The deluxe double room had a comfy bed, a flat-screen TV, and free toiletries. Nice touches like a tea/coffee maker and a hairdryer were great. Breakfast had a lovely view of the meadow and options like freshly made pastries. The dining area served up generous portions, especially the Sunday roast. Plus, the selection of local ales was a nice bonus.

Decent Stay with Room for Improvement
The classic double room felt a bit cramped at first, but the radiator helped. While I appreciated the beauty of the surroundings, a lukewarm shower and slow, cold breakfast were disappointing. Tip, Ask for your meal early if you're in a hurry.

The classic double room was surprisingly snug and super comfy with a great-sized bathroom and warm underfloor heating. I loved chilling on the sun terrace and enjoying some quiet time in the lovely garden areas. Just a heads up, the tea was a bit on the skimpy side, but overall, it was a nice stay! 😊

the location was beautifull with stunning views, comfy bed and great breakfast. breakfast had a good choice and quality. staff were super friendly and made me feel ver welcome. nice tea/coffee facilities in room too with biscuits and bottled water.
the room was a bit smaller than expected and could have used better soundproofing. also, had some trouble with a flickering security light that woke me up at night.

Stunning views from the dining area, unique historical features, beautifully maintained beer garden
Inconsistent room lighting, minimal parking spaces during peak times!!! The overlapping noises from connecting rooms make privacy a luxury rather than a standard!!! Room cleanliness should definitely be prioritized better!!!

charming, charming, charming
I stayed in a Classic Double Room with stunning views of the garden, which created a beautiful backdrop for our stay. Dinner was delightful, and the menu featured amazing treats like the best black pudding I've ever tasted! Breakfast was vast with generous portions, setting a perfect tone for our day ahead.

Had an amazing getaway with friends. We explored Goodwood Racecourse and the stunning South Downs National Park nearby. The staff were friendly, and the vibe was great for our group gatherings. Make sure to check out the local beer selection at the bar. Just a heads up, the small dining area can get busy at breakfast, so plan accordingly!
One downside was the noise from the pump next door, which kept some of us up at night. It's something to consider if you're a light sleeper.

great location but could use some updates
The views of the South Downs were breathtaking. The staff showed remarkable accommodation skills, especially when we needed an early breakfast.
While the overall experience was nice, some areas seemed slightly outdated.

We had a lovely stay, enjoying the cozy double room and the amazing homemade breakfast each morning. The garden area was perfect for relaxing after a long day, and we loved the peaceful sun terrace too. Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi could be a bit spotty at times, but it didn't really bother us! 😊

It was just a fine choice for a weekend respite in Petworth, great for the money. The packed continental breakfast was a little disappointing, but at least we got something for the early departure. Make sure to check for any hot water issues before your stay.
